Owner-Led Construction, Appalachian Character, and Jobsite Accountability
The Vintage Shed Company is built around a simple promise: your backyard structure should be constructed with the care, oversight, and accountability you would expect from a serious construction company — not treated like a commodity product dropped off in your yard.
We build on your property, under company direction, with leadership accountability from layout to final walkthrough.
Every structure is framed, sheathed, trimmed, and exterior-finished on-site by company-directed carpentry teams. We do not deliver factory-built boxes. Our process is designed to protect quality, schedule control, jobsite safety, and the final appearance of a building that should feel like it belongs on your property.
The Vintage Shed Company is family-owned and owner-led, but it is not structured as one small crew trying to handle every project alone. Edwin Shackelford founded the company with a construction-management mindset shaped by decades of field responsibility, jobsite coordination, and schedule accountability.
Edwin, Randall Shackelford, Travis Shackelford, and Leighton Shackelford each carry ownership responsibility within the company and support company-directed build teams made up of skilled carpenters assigned to exterior shell construction. That structure gives homeowners what they should want: family ownership at the top, professional carpentry capacity in the field, and clear accountability throughout the build.
The Vintage Shed Company combines family ownership, executive oversight, skilled carpentry capacity, and consistent company standards on every build.
Owner-Led Accountability
Company leadership remains responsible for quality, safety, schedule control, communication, and final jobsite standards.
Built On Your Property
Every building is constructed on-site so placement, access, grade, and final appearance can be handled with care.
Professional Field Structure
Skilled carpentry teams work under company direction instead of leaving homeowners dependent on unknown rotating crews.
Capacity Without Quality Drift
Additional qualified team members may be added when needed to protect confirmed schedules without lowering standards.
Credibility Over Gimmicks
We rely on construction discipline, verifiable professional credibility, direct accountability, and the finished work itself.
